Big Hud has earned a reputation as one of the hardest working indie artist around. He;s been a road warrior traveling doing shows, and appearances throughout the country, and created an organic cult like fan following throughout the underground rap scene.

Hailing from Dallas an ambitious artist by the name of Big Hud “Da Heavyweight” has progressively emerged as a fixture in today’s evolving music industry.

Over the past few years Big Hud has had moderate success with singles such as “Smell My Cologne” featuring Shady/Interscope recording artist Yelawolf, and “Summertime Ish” ft. Currensy which generated a strong buzz, and a video that earned regular rotation on MTV Jams . Big Hud has also opened for many major artists across the country such as Lil Wayne, Rick Ross, and Waka Flocka to name a few. On the flip side of things he has performed beside credible artists such as the legendary Too Short, and Strange Music’s own Rittz..

Big Hud has earned a reputation as one of the hardest working indie artist around. He;s been a road warrior traveling doing shows, and appearances throughout the country, and created an organic cult like fan following throughout the underground rap scene. During his career he has provided his fans, and supporters with 6 free projects/mixtapes hosted by the likes of DJ Smallz, DJ Holiday, DJ Burn One, and Bay Bay. He has also released 2 EP’s independently, and recently earned his own Pandora Station. Big Hud is also a past All Hip Hop Breeding Ground alum, which over the years has bred many successful artists . These type of accomplishments caught the eye of RBC Records/Fontana where Big Hud was offered a distribution deal & is set to release his debut album “Almost Home” in early 2015.

Most recently Big Hud has collaborated, and been working with well known bay (Oakland) area rapper Beeda Weeda for a group album titled “The Storm”. The lead single from the album “Hella Turnt” featuring rap pioneers Too Short and E40 is picking up momentum, and is setting the stage for a strong release. Aside from that Big Hud will be releasing more solo material, and scheduling more appearances, and shows leading up to the release of his debut album. Its fair to say its just a matter of time before Big Hud makes a permanent spot for himself in the world of music.
